Caleb John Downs of Collinsville and Tulsa, OK Identified as GDL and WLM Nazi “Hissing Possum” and “Wokie Okie”

Next up on the #NameTheBozoTour: Meet GDL member Caleb John Downs aka “Hissing Possum” and “Wokie Okie” of Tulsa and Collinsville, Oklahoma, a Proud Boy turned full Nazi who now makes trashy cover songs with lyrics about lynching minorities.

Caleb Downs was previously publicly identified for his activity in the White Lives Matter (WLM) scene and now appears to be active with the Goyim Defense League (GDL).

On July 16, 2024, Caleb Downs showed up to Nashville alongside other neo-Nazi GDL members to terrorize residents in an attention-seeking Nazi stunt. At the Metro City Council meeting, he performed a Nazi salute before he and other GDL members were removed from the building. Other photographers captured his Proud Boys tattoos and clear images of his face, helping to confirm that Caleb Downs was indeed this Nazi in Nashville.

The information in Caleb Downs’ previous identification, while not archived completely, left behind just enough breadcrumbs for us to confirm his current “Hissing Possum” alias.

On March 11, 2024, Hissing Possum posted a photo of a T-shirt with one of his logos to his Hissing Possum 2.0 Telegram channel, and the background of the photo showed distinctive wooden walls and a leather couch. Facebook photos from his family members showed a home with the same wooden walls and leather couch.

On Caleb Downs’ “Hissing Possum” (@wokieokie) Telegram account, he posted that he was a Proud Boy from Collinsville, Oklahoma. Caleb Downs, of Collinsville, still has a Proud Boys tattoo on his arm.

Today, there are still messages in a White Lives Matter Oklahoma Telegram channel showing Caleb Downs’ arm tattoo as he posted “White Lives Matter” stickers on a Collinsville gas station pump in 2022.

Although Caleb Downs could be utilizing his “musical talents” for literally anything else, he has decided to go the route of making some of the most vile “parody” tracks you’ve never heard of, using his pitchy vocals on karaoke tracks to sing about lynching Black people and burning Jews in ovens.

Across his social media accounts, Caleb Downs aka “Hissing Possum” and “Wokie Okie” has been virulently racist and antisemitic, occasionally showing up in Twitter comments to spew harassment at others and defend his Goyim Defense League buddies.

Caleb’s Twitter/X posts imply that he may have also been involved in Goyim Defense League activism in Florida, and that he has previously been identified by antifascists.

While some people still tend to think that these white supremacists are all bark and no bite, Caleb Downs has previously pleaded guilty to felony assault and violent threat charges.

Caleb Downs now posts more violent threats (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8) and calls for a “race war” (1, 2, 3, 4) on his Twitter/X timeline.

In mid 2022, Caleb Downs married long-time fiancée Brandi Nicole Bussard, who went under the names “Nicole Magnusson” and “Nicole Preston” during her attempted acting and modeling career in Hollywood. While we could not verify white supremacist activity by Mrs. Nicole Downs, she seems to have no issues with her husband wearing Proud Boys attire in public, and we doubt she is unaware of Caleb’s abhorrent activities.
